GreenSquare gets Silver!
![]() |
We are pleased to announce that the GreenSquare group has just been awarded the Silver standard from Investors in People.
Investors in people are an international organisation used in over 50 countries providing a clear framework for business improvement for over 30,000 organisations of all types and size.
To achieve an IIP standard award you must produce 37 examples of good practice, but to achieve the silver status you must produce an additional 76 examples!
“OCHA and Westlea have both previously held the IIP award, but this is the first time we have been assessed as a group," said Dave Ashmore, GreenSquare's chief executive. “We are delighted with this recognition.
“The Investors in People award is all about business improvement, highlighting what is being done well and what can be improved. The assessors looked at how we support, develop, and engage with our staff to meet our key priorities and performance targets.”
“We have been running a large management development programme and the investment we have put into this has been critical to securing this award,” said Abigail Riley, GreenSquare's Group Head of HR. “However we will not be resting on our laurels! IIP is about continuous improvement and we will be meeting with them to discuss how we further improve and guide our future on communications and leadership.”
The IIP report also considered the organisation's relationship with residents - and the residents involvement in planning and budgeting was described as “incredibly inclusive... another example of excellent practice”.
The independent assessor interviewed people from all tiers of the organisation and found that people are proud to work for GreenSquare and think that it is a good place to work, giving reasons such as:
“There is a really sound culture of continuous improvement across the organisation and the value of ‘pioneering’ encapsulates this desire to continually improve and be at the forefront of the sector,” concluded the IIP assessors.
